About
In October 2008, The Daylights came out to Blue's Studio in Westlake Village to record with producer/engineer Tom McCauley. They recorded an acoustic version of "Don't Look Down" with Blue's Bottle Rocket Stage One.
Ricky of the Daylights quotes, "The Bottle Rocket Stage One is one of the best mics we have recorded with". It's versatility was extremely useful for our vocals and guitars."
The Daylights were also featured at An Evening with Blue Microphones which took place at the Gibson Showroom (November 08') where they recorded several live tracks with a Baby Bottle on vocals and a Blueberry on guitars. Having had a great experience at Blue, they returned to record "Outsider" and "Alive" acoustic with producer/engineer Les Camacho in March of 2009.
They used Blue's Bottle and Kiwi mics for these recordings. Ran says: "The Kiwi's top end is simply amazing. It really brought our acoustic guitars into their own, while our vocals had tons of detail. It captured the sound we were looking for without an ounce of eq - which of course is a rarity."
