Defiantly unconventional, Liars (Angus Andrew, Aaron Hemphill and Julian Gross) consistently push boundaries, daring to explore texture, sound, and structure; challenging themselves and their fans. Geographical shape-shifters as well, the band (formerly of New York and Berlin) is currently based out of Los Angeles. There they drew inspiration from LA's fringe characters during the writing their new album Sisterworld. Liars’ boldest and most exhilarating record to date, the album is a dense art-pop thrill from start to finish. Sisterworld is Liars’ own space, completely devoid of influence, somewhere remote from the false promises and discarded dreams amassed in LA.
