The scene was a Grammy after-party in LA. The spot was a trendy night club in West Hollywood. The interaction was brief, but memorable. Jay-Z, recalling seeing Laura perform a few months earlier, looked a young Laura Warshauer squarely in the eye and said “You are fantastically talented.” If there’s anything to inspire a budding artist to greater heights, it would be those words, uttered from a modern-day hero in the music industry.
With her big blue eyes, dark hair, and diminutive stature, one would be amazed at the powerhouse voice and indomitable spirit that is the essence of Laura Warshauer, both onstage and off.
Whether she’s singing and playing in a smoke filled bar in front of 50 die hard fans on Bleecker Street, or opening for Jakob Dylan and Augustana at the Fillmore in front of 1000 people, Laura has that rare quality very few artist’s possess; making every person in the audience feel as if she is singing just to them. Her managers will attest to this; “When we walk into a meeting, no matter who it is, the vibe and energy immediately change and people sense they are about to experience something very special. Laura doesn’t let them down!
With the momentum building, Laura was chosen by BMI and the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame as the 2010 recipient for the first ever Buddy Holly Award, given to a young singer-songwriter and performer who exhibits the characteristics of being “true, great and original”
She recently recorded five songs produced by legendary producer/record executive Thom Panunzio. Thom then reached out to iconic musicians; E Street Band Keyboardist--Roy Bittan, John Fogerty's drummer--Kenny Aronoff, Hall and Oats guitar player--Paul Pesco, and other well known musicians. One of those recordings, “Tonight Tonight,” was used on the Style Network’s “How Do I Look” Show. Other song placements include USA Network's --"In Plain Sight," and E! True Hollywood Story episodes.
With a distinctive sound and style, laced with familiar vocal flavors ranging from Stevie Nicks to Kate Bush to Imogen Heap, Laura is far from just another female singer-songwriter. She's inspired by the live experiences of U2 and Bruce Springsteen, and her performance, whether on stage or in the studio, has that something special that people naturally connect with.
The team and plan are set and her first single "WISHING WELL" will be serviced to Triple A Radio throughout the US on July 1st, 2011. Laura and her band will be on the road supporting this release with dates already booked, including July 12th at The Palms/Las Vegas, July 14th at Hotel Cafe/Hollywood, July 20th at Lestat's/San Diego, and a performance on August 10th at the FMQB Triple A Radio Conference in Boulder, Co. As of June 28TH, Laura and her band have partnered with Gibson Guitars and Blue Mic.

"I am so impressed with the sound quality of the Bottle. The one thing that people have always told me is that i have a unique sounding voice and there's a certain magic when you just sing to people in the room, unplugged. I really felt that the sound of my voice in that setting was captured by the Bottle mic and on the recording. That, for me, is the ultimate thing in what I look for and what I would use for a microphone when recording a record or singing live."
