Johnny K is best known for his work with Disturbed, 3 Doors Down, Staind, Finger 11, Plain White T's, and Sevendust! Other artists Johnny has worked with include Adelita’s Way, Kill Hannah, Avenged Sevenfold, Drowning Pool, Halestorm, Machine Head, SOiL, Airbourne and Trapt. Upcoming releases from Valora and Bad City can be seen later this year.
Johnny K owns and operates Clinton Arts, LLC which is a 40,000 sq ft multi-studio complex in the south loop of Chicago. It houses his own Groovemaster Studios which includes an SSL 4080 G+ Mix Room, 2 vintage Neve Tracking Rooms and a Pre-Production/Overdub Suite. Clinton Arts also houses Hinge Studio and Black Sheep Music, Inc.
Johnny was a Grammy “Producer of the Year” Nominee in 2009 and has served on the Chicago Chapter Board since 2006. He also co-chairs the Rock Committee with David Silbaugh. Johnny has been a keynote speaker at the PNW Studio Summit, the NARAS SXSW Studio Panel, the NARAS BYO Luncheon and Grammy U events. He recently won a Grammy for his engineering work on the album “Oh Happy Day”, which was the 2010 Grammy’s Best Traditional Gospel Album. He currently holds 11 gold and platinum records.
